Im looking for a NON-permanent way to take out weight of my 96 integra.....

Ive taken the pass. seat out, and a few under hood things....i still have AC and PS because my car is daily driven with LEATHER! smile

Is the back seat benificail to remove? When i had it out last, seemed to not weigh a considerable amount.

So please give me your suggestions on what YOU do.

    Thanx,
    Tony

You could actually remove a lot of parts and it wouldn't be a permanent thing. I used to drain window washer fluid, remove the glove box, mats, every thing rear of the driver including: seats, spare tire stuff, parts attached to hatch (wiper motor, plastic parts), spoiler. If you really want to loose weight go ahead and remove your rear bumper support(remember safety first).

Now I just race with everything on the car. I'm more concerned about how well my car does as is.

    Tony,
What I remove to save weight:
    1.) axle back
    2.) front passenger seat
3.) rear seat (both upper and lower part)
    4.) spare (40lbs! its a chrome wheel)
5.) misc. stuff includding jack, tools, etc.
6.) cross member bar (black) below rear seat
    7.) floor mats (5 lbs!)
8.) go low on fuel (1/4 tank) they have fuel at the track if needed
9.) and go on an empty stomach J/K biggrin

my car usually tips the scales at 2500 exactly w/ the above reduction. I just wish I wasn't as big as I am cuz as soon as I get in the my baby it weighs 2740.. good reason to get on a diet!
